Gaylyn Arnold & Jazz 'n Style

Experience a unique sound like no other along with the style, grace and presence of those great Ladies of Jazz and Blues.
Whether she’s delivering smooth lilting sentimental notes or those which crescendo with passion. Gaylyn will work her way around a song and into your soul. Her ballads will melt your heart, her swings will make your feet dance and her bossa novas will make your hips sway while her ballads of blues will tug at your heart.
Since 2000 Gaylyn has performed all across the country at such cities as Las Vegas, San Fransico, Sacramento, Charleston, and Greenville. She has appeared at such venues as the Double Door in Charlotte, NC and Boston's Cabaret in Sacramento, CA, as well as events such as the Moja Arts Festival in Charleston, SC and the Shriners Hospital For Children: Holiday Carols in Greenville, SC.
Gaylyn is accompanied by some of the best jazz musicians with Jazz 'n Style. While enrolled in Xavier University in New Orleans, drummer Sonny Thorton performed with such artists as Ed Blackwell, Ornette Coleman, and Ellis Marsalis. After moving to Greenville, he played for Woody Herman, Stan Keaton, Count Bassie, and Duke Ellington. Perhaps none of the members are as accredited as saxophonist Robert "Moss" Mack. Moss attended Florida A&M University, and in 1965 he performed Florida A&M and florida State University College Quintet Members in the Newport Jazz Festival. He has played for performers such as The Spinners and The Four Tops. Moss opened for Dionne Warwick at the Greenville, SC Peace Center and played for Aretha Franklin and Natalie Cole there as well. In 1972 Moss toured and played in the Count Bassie Band, and has also performed in SC Greenville's Symphony.
